Welcome

Design and development in GRP is a very specific ‘science’; albeit one which is not always fully understood… utilising the tried and tested expertise of AllScope, makes sound practical and financial sense.

From as early as the initial concept stage; through to the final completion of a project, the AllScope know-how and practical approach to any venture is motivated by the end result – a first-rate product, on-time and on-budget.

The AllScope Difference…

Concept
Client has an idea, a problem or a practical demand… all requiring solutions and fruition.

Confidentiality
Exclusivity/confidentiality agreement between AllScope & client.

Project Management
Co-ordination of all the disciplines, research and design in a structured and professional manner.

Design
Research, drawings, cad models, finite element analysis and material specification.

Value
Cost analysis, best process/value for part, financial planning.

Prototypes
Tooling & first off products.

Testing
Structural testing, fire testing, practical fit for purpose.

Production
Factory layout, tooling requirements, production methods, jigs, time & motion, training, materials control, quality issues, health & safety, logistics.

Manual
We can provide a comprehensive manual and report covering all aspects of the project from design to specifications and production to quality assurance and health & safety.

Vetting
AllScope manufacturing facilities are suitable for small scale production, prototypes and tooling. We can vet other manufacturing facilities for suitability ie. Location, costs, systems, capacity, quality etc. This may be in the UK or overseas.

AllScope could take on the responsibility for managing client projects as a one-off task; passing the full scale production onto another moulder – whom AllScope could help source. By operating in this manner, AllScope would be providing constructive and objective advice… without being seen to have an alternative agenda.

AllScope personnel would manage the project in its entirety; thus enabling the project engineer responsible for the product more time to concentrate on alternative projects, where he/she may have more expertise – or where greater challenges have to be met. This ultimately allows engineers to concentrate on more complex projects, where their time could be more beneficially spent.
On completion of a project; the client would be provided with a complete manual; detailing all aspects of the project. This would include development, specifications, timings, costings, potential pit falls; and any other factors AllScope staff feel could be relevant to the client for the lifetime of that product. This would make it much easier for a client to re-source at a later date.

Because AllScope would see a project as a ‘one-off’, and have no commercial interest in its ongoing manufacture; its staff would advise on the best unit price at day one. Equally, as the company’s tooling equipment is of the highest quality, there would be no unexpected ongoing tool refurbishment or replacement costs.

AllScope personnel are uniquely experienced in their ability to source the production of a client’s final product to an alternative moulder – which may be UK-based or overseas. As part of this process AllScope would advise the client on any quotations they receive for the ongoing production.

Occasionally, requests for quotations may be either incomplete, or ambiguous. Should this happen; the quotations received may not be based on a ‘like for like’ basis; and the client is often left trying to make sense of which quote offers the best option. However, by utilizing the AllScope service; a client will always receive ‘like for like’ quotes, which can be easily compared to an existing product.

Consequently, involving AllScope in any tender process, would help to eliminate situations where a tender winner has to increase prices because essential costing elements were overlooked, leading to, at best, a loss of face, and at worst, a loss of money.
